Kotori Minami from CosplaySky review

Hey guuuys!
Today I finally got my Kotori Minami costume I ordered from CosplaySky !!!
As you probably know, if you read my blog longer, I do all costumes myself, as well as all props...but, I really liked this costume and I thought to myself I woulden't be precise to craft all the details, so I gave it a try with ordering it...

I decided to make more detailed review, because I really wish I'd have found this info when I ordered :D

I've actually never ordered a costume before and also I heard various opinions on this website - good and bad, so I really was a little scared, if I'm gonna be the lucky one, or the unlucky one...

COMMUNICATION
First of all communication was great! They always replied to me within 2 days and I have had no problem with it...
They were polite and always answered my questions...

PROCESSING TIME
Processing time was said to be around a week, but they shipped my order within 3 days or so...it was really super fast...

SHIPPING
I wasn't satisfied with shipping very much...it cost me around 20€ and it really wasn't worth it...when I compare it to EMS shipping, which costs the same, but you get your item in 5 days, it was incredibly slow...it actually took more than 10 days...it would be ok, but not worth the price...
BUT! One big plus for me was, that I didn't pay any taxes! I'm really happy for it...

PACKAGING
Costume was packed in 2 plastic bags...one was ordinary thick untransparent sack, and the other in which was costume directly packed was half plastic half textile bag with airproof zipper...
Whole costume was packed here...

COSTUME QUALITY
The costume was actually pretty good quality...it was sewn very nicely, it had an underlay and naturally any part wasn't missing...
One thing bit bothers me though - it smells strangely, but that will be gone until the convention, so I guess it's fine...
It doesn't seem to be made of cheap materials, so I'm quite satisfied with the quality...

SIZES
This I actually consider slight issue...
I ordered size S, with measurements bust - around 80cm, waist - 66cm, hips - 94cm...According to their size chart, the costume should fit me perfectly...

Well nope :D...it is quite big on the waist...around 15-20cm bigger than it should be...
I mean it isn't such a big deal for me, I can easily adjust it, but if you don't know how to sew, be very careful with sizes, because the same thing might happen to you...
Also I didn't like size of the wrist bands - I could pull it up to my shoulders and I can easily put my both hands into one wristband :D...
The gloves has way too long fingers and they are really loose on wrists, so I actually consider getting completely new pair of gloves from somewhere else...
Also the hat had a way too big lace on it, so I'm gonna cut it to make it shorter, because this way it covers my whole head...
Socks are really nice, one thing they miss are some silicone straps to prevent it from sliding from your legs...
The bow in the back:
It isn't so nice as in the picture, but it doesn't look bad either :) (sorry I forgot to take a photo -.- )
I got some plastic strings to it, to help those hanging things to hold shape, but I'm not quite sure where to put them, as there aren't any holes...
It is also quite long, but I'm planing to wear 10cm heels to it, so it should be just fine :D
But not to mention just bad things - I really love the skirt! it is so nice and it fits quite well (it is bit bigger though, but not as much as waist...2cm don't make much difference for skirt)

In the end I must say I was satisfied with CosplaySky just for 70%...
I'm not sure if I'd buy from them again, but neither I regret buying this specific costume, because it's really nice for it's price...
The size issues and stuff I mentioned bother me, but it can be easily adjusted...I'm just a bit angry it added me more cosplay work, because I bought the costume to avoid it :D...
And also I hope I'll find out where to put those plastic strings...I really want the bow to look so nice as in the pic :D

So hopefully I helped you a bit with deciding if to buy or not :)

SpreePicky haul review nr.1

Hey guuys!
Today I'm sooo happy! I finally got package from SpreePicky I ordered few weeks ago!
And I just loved everything that was inside! Let's see it through together :)

First thing that may interest you is, that I didn't pay any taxes, or simply any additional fees...that is really good thing, because I had not very pleasant experience when I was ordering lolita dress from another website. Dress itself with EMS shipping cost me around 150€ and I was expecting to pay another fees...but I wasn't expecting another 58€! That's why I always freak out when ordering something above 30€, because it was really much of money...
But my package from SpreePicky came perfectly fee-free :3

Okay now to the packaging:

It looked something like this, when I opened the package, stuff was packed in bubble wrap envelope and each item was packed in sachet separately...also I got an extra gift, postcard and card :) Thanks! :)

Now to the items! I will start with item I've been looking forward to the MOST!
CAT SKIRT!

I'm sooo in love with this skirt, I'm gonna wear it right tomorrow! :D...and it fits me fine, I got S, the hips are little tigher, but not too small, it's just all right! Also I tried it on my tights so it's perfectly OK! :)

Sorry, photos may be little blurry...

It's also sewn very well, from good quality fabric and it may easily become my new favorite piece of clothes! :D

Another thing I got was bustier top...I got it in pink, but they have 7 different colours :)

I actually (I don't know why) expected it to be longer and I was a bit surprised it was short :D...but it really doesn't matter, I love it anyways and it will fit really great to summer hot weather!

It's made from nice stretchy fabric and it also has a zip on the back...it's really easy to put on and it fits perfectly and it's sooo comfy!!

I also like its pattern very much, it fits well to my hair :D

Now to more practical stuff, I ordered mainly for cosplay purposes...first thing is wig holder!

I've been really craving for something like this quite a while...I almost never recieve wig, which is perfectly styled, and for example cutting back of the wig is quite hard on myself...also I don't like disturbing my family members to be wig holders :D

It came in pieces and I had to put it together, but there was instructions, so no problem! :D

First I was a bit concerned about stability, cause it doesn't look very strong, but when I put on a wig, it held quite nice and I think it will be very usefull to me in the future :)

The last thing was a make-up tool I've also wanted for quite a long time:

I borrowed this small miracle from my friend once and it was a miracle :D...it really makes foundation/concealer to fit really well into your skin and it's soft and squishy :3 :D

So that was all for today, I hope this article was at least a bit helpful to you and maybe it will have you decide whether to buy something or not :)
Yet again, I thank to SpreePicky for amazing stuff!

Bye Bye for now ^^

Chibi Bunny stuff review

Hey guuys!
Yesterday I finally got last thing from Chibi Bunny I wanted to review, so let's make small Chibi Bunny haul!

I'm not really sure, how I've discovered this website but I'm SO GLAD I did! They have such wonderful patterns, you can't resist!
It came wrapped within a plastic envelope (such as stuff from ebay usually, for example) and shipping took around 4-5 weeks (now I think for the bag it was just 2-3 weeks)...

First thing I'd like to review is the skirt, because it was the first thing I got from them and it is sooo adorable!

It is really cute isn't it? I got a size S and it fits perfectly! It is made from really soft stretchy fabric and print is very good quality too! Also I once tried it with the petitecoat and it looked quite nice :3

I really like wearing it!

Next thing I ordered were dress - I had such a hard time choosing the pattern thou...there are so many wonderful dresses! After 2-3 days I decided for this pattern:

I don't like blue very much, but I certainly don't regret getting these...although it's not just blue, it is more to some kind of tourquise colour, so I like it even better! I got also S but waist is a bit loose, so I might have gotten XS, but it doesn't look wierd so I don't mind...It is made from same stretchy fabric as the skirt (when I think about it I think it is a lycra or something very similar to it)..

I worn the dress just one time - on the Christmas eve and I really can't wait for summer 'cause I reaally want to wear them more often!

Third thing I got just yesterday was a messenger bag! Also I had a hard time selecting a pattern, but good thing about this is, that you can switch your bag flap for another if you like! So I decided for the same pattern as the dress - mochi kitty...because MOCHIIIIII!!!!

For a long time I was looking for a bag small enough just for my cellphone, my huge wallet and a little something else and this was really a perfect choice! It has around 3 separated pockets, and I like it very much! Also I think the removable flap is very good too! Here is how it works:

You can buy another "flaps" on Chibi Bunny website HERE, there are also many cute patterns and I definitely consider buying another one!

In the and I must say this website has a very talented pattern artist and products of high quality!
That is all for now, I hope this article was at least a bit of help to you!
Bye bye ^^

Udon noodles Recipe

Hey guuuys and happy New Year!
Today I've decided to post something slightly different from before...
Yesterday I made Udon noodles for the first time and I thought I could share the recipe with you! :)
Firstly, you have to prepare noodles themselves...I heard they can be bought pre-made, but of course not in my country :D...also they are much better when you make them by yourself!

For 2 bigger portions of noodles you will need:
200g of flour (I used semi-coarse I'm not sure how is the flour marked in other countries, you can just use any ordinary flour)
100ml of water
about 2 and half spoons of salt

First thing you need to do is making a dough...mainly mix salt with water. Then you put flour to some large bowl and pur salted water to it in small parts. Knead it, until there isn't any excessive flour left...
Then make dough into a ball and put it into the fridge for 30 minutes...
After 30 minutes. take the dough out and knead it, until it is soft and tender (kneading may take around 20 minutes approx.), then make a ball out of it again and put it into fridge for 2-3 hours...(in winter I recommend 3 in summer 2)...

After 2-3 hours tadaaa!! Dough is done and now the fun part starts!
Put a bit of flour on the desk and roll the dough! try to make it around 2-3 mm thick if possible, dough will be quite hard by this time, but it isn't so hard to roll it...also try to roll it to square shape...I couldn't make it, but the noodles look better when the dough is square...

When you are done with this part, put the dough together for example like this:
And then you can start cut your own Udon!
I cut 5mm each, but they got quite thick after I boiled them, so it's up to you, if you want thicker or thiner noodles :)...
When you cut them all, flatten them, they will be easier to put into boiling water...but be careful, dough is stretchy and it can easily happen, that you accidentaly tear your noodles...

Boil a large pot of water (at least 2 l) and when the watter is boiling, put all the noodles in and stir it, so they won't stick together...
Boil them for 10 minutes, then put them out and shower it with the cold water...
Your homemade noodles are done!

You can make delicious meals with them, I prepared them with vegetables and teriyaki sauce...
I used some green onions, carrots, shii take mushrooms, and red bell pepper, but you can use any vegetables you like...
I put them into wok with bit of salt, seasoning mix which includes ginger, garlic etc. (I bought it in ordinary grocery store as China seasoning), teriyaki sauce, soy sauce and some herbs...
I fried it for a while..

Then I put Udon noodles in and added a bit more of each seasonings and sauces...
When it's done, you can put bit of furikake on the top, or nori seaweed cut into small pieces!

It's really simple and delicious meal, I recommend it to all of you!
I hope you liked this recipe and also I hope it was good to understand :D...
If any questions feel free to ask :)
Bon apetit and Bye Bye ^^
